This week on Served, we revisit last April’s hilariously insightful interview with Bob and Mike Bryan ahead of their induction into the International Tennis Hall of Fame.
The Bryans open up about life as twins on tour, representing Team USA at the Davis Cup and Olympics, and why they didn’t take Andy “seriously” when they first met.
They also share some Grand Slam-worthy stories at each other’s expense. From a stolen gold medal, to how finger-pointing in a Wimbledon courtesy car ended in chaos, to the one “knockout” moment that helped restart their careers.
Plus, Andy and Producer Mike drop some exciting news about upcoming Served live shows!

Though they’re identical twins, Mike is right-handed, and Bob is left-handed. That rare combo paired with their intensity and work ethic made them the most successful doubles team in ATP Tour history.
The Bryans won at least one major title together for 11 straight years and spent a record 438 weeks atop the ATP doubles rankings. Before turning pro, the duo won multiple NCAA titles at Stanford.
Bryan Brothers Career Achievements:
Won 16 major titles together
Gold Medalists at 2012 London Olympics to clinch the Golden Slam in doubles
Members of the 2007 Davis Cup Championship Team
119 career doubles titles
1100+ career match wins
The list goes on
After 23 years playing side by side, hear what they’re most proud of from their hall of fame careers.
More double trouble: Two 1000-level events this week in Canada.
None of the top five seeds in the women’s draw advanced to the quarterfinals, including two-time defending champion Jess Pegula, opening the door for the rest of the field.
Enter Canada’s Victoria Mboko.
The 18 year-old wild card is through to her first WTA 1000-level semifinal after sweeping Jessica Bouzas Maneiro 6-4, 6-2. Her magical Montreal run includes upsetting top seed and World No. 2 Coco Gauff Saturday night, dropping the French Open champ to 2-3 since Paris.
In front of the home crowd, Mboko is putting together the breakout tournament of her breakout season. She became the youngest semifinalist in Canada in a decade and is set to reach a new career high ranking after starting 2025 ranked No. 333.
Up next for Mboko: Elena Rybakina who advanced to the semifinals after Marta Kostyuk retired with Rybakina leading 6-1, 2-1 due to an apparent wrist injury.
Rybakina advanced to her fifth semifinal of the season which is third most on tour behind Aryna Sabalenka and Iga Swiatek. The No. 9 seed beat Mboko at last week’s DC Open.
About 330 miles (or 542 km) west in Toronto, top seed Alexander Zverev reached his 75th ATP Tour semifinal after rallying past defending champion Alexei Popyrin 6-7 (8), 6-4, 6-3.
Zverev, the 2017 title winner, will face Karen Khachanov in Wednesday’s semifinals. The No. 11 seed Khachanov beat Alex Michelsen late Monday night to reach his third semifinal at this event.
With a win, Khachanov would reach his first Masters 1000 final since he won the title in Paris in 2018.
With the finals in Toronto and Montreal scheduled for Thursday, Andy shares the Served recap plan.

Re the 12 day events. Canada should go back to being a one week event. It is not a combined event like the others and the lack of matches each day, especially toward the end, shows this. But, outside of IW and Miami, the 12 day events should disappear. If the players are saying it's bad for them physically and mentally, then don't do them. IW and Miami are different because they are not leading up to a Slam. But the players are exhausted and ripe for injury after Madrid/Rome and Canada/Cincy.
